PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue computerized patta and Chitta in the petitioner's name for his property located at Survey No. 312/101 in Koduvilarpatti - Pallapatti Village, Theni District and effect the entries in Tamil Nilam website as per G.O(Ms)No.34 dated 13.01.2021 based on the petitioner's application dated 07.02.2025 within time limit as stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent to issue computerised patta and chitta in the petitioner's name for the property in S.No.312/101 in Koduvilarpatti - Pallapatti Village, Theni District. 1/4

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner belongs to the Schedule Caste community and that the land in S.No.312/101 of an extent of 1.50 ares was assigned to the petitioner in the year 2007. It is also stated that the petitioner has been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the property for about 18 years. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the village records were not updated to reflect the assignment in favour of the petitioner. He relies upon G.O.MS.No.34 dated 13.01.2021.

3. Learned Government Advocate submits that the petitioner's request would be considered and orders would be passed on merits within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

In view of the above submissions, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 07.02.2025 within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after taking into account G.O.MS.No.34 dated 13.01.2021.
