Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to approve the appointment of the petitioner as Assistant Professor in History in the 5th respondent College,namely, Women's Christian College, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District for the period from 02.01.2012 to 23.06.2014 and disburse the grant-in-aid towards the salary with all attendant benefits.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to approve the appointment of the petitioner as Assistant Professor in History in the 5th respondent College, for the period from 02.01.2012 to 23.06.2014 and disburse the grantin-aid towards the salary with all attendant benefits. 2.The learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.M.Mahaboob, learned counsel takes notice for R4. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, 3rd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.01.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
