Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to issue Patta to the legal heirs of petitioner's deceased father Veeramuthu, S/o. Ayyakannu Servai, for the properties bearing 1) Survey No. 49/4 - with an extent of 0.62.50 Ares, 2) Survey No. 87/1B - with an extent of 0-14.50 Ares,
3) Survey No. 87/6 - with an extent of 0-9.50 Ares, 4) Survey No.87/7B - with an extent of 0-2.50 Ares - having Patta as Patta No.1375, situated at Perungudi Village, Thiruparangundram Taluk, Madurai District.

ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to issue Patta in the names of the legal heirs of his father - Veeramuthu in respect of the property situated in 1) Survey No. 49/4 - with an extent of 0.62.50 Ares,
2) Survey No. 87/1B - with an extent of 0-14.50 Ares, 3) Survey No. 87/6 - with an extent of 0-9.50 Ares, 4) Survey No.87/7B - with an extent of 0-2.50 Ares, at Perungudi Village, Thiruparangundram Taluk, Madurai District.
2. According to the petitioner, the above mentioned properties originally belonged to his father and revenue documents, such as, patta, stood in the name of his father. After the death of petitioner's father, the petitioner submitted an application, dated 11.06.2025, before the respondent, seeking issuance of patta in the names of the legal heirs of his father, including the petitioner. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
3. Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent, would submit that the application submitted by the petitioner will be
considered by the respondent in accordance with law, within a time stipulated by this Court.
4. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the application submitted by the petitioner, dated 11.06.2025, and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to petitioner and other legal heirs of the deceased Veeramuthu.
5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. 04.07.2025 NCC :
