ORDER
The petitioner, who is the defacto complainant in Crime No.763 of 2024, has filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondent Police to 1/4
conclude the investigation in Crime No.763 of 2024 and file the final report.
2. When this petition was taken up for hearing on 11.06.2025, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that during the investigation, the respondent Police found that the complaint is a false one and therefore, they are likely to close the complaint. Based on the said representation, this petition was closed with a direction to the respondent to serve RCS notice to the petitioner along with the final report enabling her to workout her remedy before the concerned Court.
3. However, before the order could be prepared, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) mentioned that inadvertently, a false representation was made based on the instruction provided to some other case. Therefore, on the mentioning made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this petition is listed today for further hearing.
4. Today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that the respondent Police is conducting the investigation and they have examined three witnesses so far and therefore, they require two months' time to conclude the investigation and file the final report. 2/4
5. In view of this submission, the earlier order dated 11.06.2025 passed in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.11746 of 2025, though not signed and dispatched, is hereby recalled.
6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent Police to conclude the investigation in Crime No. 763 of 2024 and file the final report within a period of two months. 15.07.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet:Yes ogy To
