ORDER

Challenging the impugned order passed by the 4th respondent in C.No. 43/Forecast/C2PS/2026 dated 07.06.2026, and consequently direct the 4th respondent to grant permission and adequate police protection for conducting the Horse Race in connection with the Kodai Festival of Arulmigu Sri Sandhimarithamman Temple, Thachanallur, Tirunelveli District, on 24.06.2026 and based on the petitioner's representation dated 06.06.2026, this writ petition is filed.

2. A report has been filed by the 2nd respondent in which it is clearly stated that this is the first time, such a Horse Race is sought to be conducted during Kodai Festival of Arulmigu Sri Sandhimarithamman Temple, Thachanallur, Tirunelveli District, and the proposed route passes through a communally sensitive and highly congested area that is prone to traffic congestion. It is also made clear in the report that no feasible alternate route exists in the said locality.
