O R D E R

The prayer in the writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to renew the application of the petitioner based on the application dated 20.02.2023 and consequently direct the respondents 1 and 2 to cancel the license of the third respondent.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has made an application for renewal of licence for running cable TV. He further submitted that during the pendency of the writ petition license has been issued in the name of some body.

3. A perusal of the papers would reveal that the period for which license was sought for has already been expired and it has been given to some one. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the same he is entitled to claim damages. Hence the prayer sought for has become infructous.

4. Accordingly the writ petition is dismissed as infructous. However it is open to the petitioner to approach the authorities concerned to claim damages, if he is so aggrieved in the manner known to law. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
