ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner applied to the first respondent for renewal of his passport. Apprehending that his application will not be processed, the present writ petition came to be filed.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the second respondent clarified that the petitioner had obtained acquittal in S.C.No.213 of 2019 on the file of II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Trichirappalli and as on date no criminal case is pending against the petitioner. 4.There is no impediment for processing the petitioner's application. The first respondent is directed to process the petitioner's 2/4

application and renew his passport as expeditiously as possible subject to the fulfilment of the other usual formalities. 5.This writ petition is allowed accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
