ORDER

By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.The writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner dated nil, within the time limit as fixed by this Court.

3. The petitioner is working as an Assistant Engineer in the respondent department. Against the punishment of stoppage of increment for one year with cumulative effect imposed on him, the petitioner preferred a statutory appeal before the 1st respondent. However, since the appeal has not been disposed of, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. I have considered the submissions and perused the materials available on record.

5. Without adverting into the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 26.08.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No RR 3/4
