Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner's mother had passed away on 22.03.2010. She was cremated on the next day. It appears that her death intimation was not duly given or registered. Since there has been a delay, only after due enquiry by the fourth respondent, the certificate can be issued. The Sub Collector, Srirangam had issued enquiry notice in Na.Ka.No.3110 of 2020. The enquiry had not been concluded.

3. The fourth respondent is therefore directed to 2/4

3 W.P.(MD)NO.19116 OF 2022 conclude the enquiry and pass orders on the petition mentioned representation on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
