PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to pay the medical reimbursement of the petitioner's Medical bill amount a sum of Rs.14,74,174.87/- with interest based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.07.2023.

O R D E R
The present writ petition has been filed seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to pay the medical reimbursement of the petitioner's Medical Bill, based upon the representation, dated 05.07.2023.
2. According to the writ petitioner, he had undergone medical treatment for cancer in Christian Medical College Hospital at Vellore and in the Ranipet Campus. The petitioner has enclosed bills and sent a representation to the District Level Empowered Committee, Kanyakumari District who has sent a 2/6
report on 07.04.2022 to the second respondent herein. In turn, the second respondent has forwarded the same to the third respondent on 27.06.2022. As on today, the claim petition is pending before the third respondent herein.
3. It is seen from the typed set of papers that the petitioner has also raised two other bills. Those bills have also been referred to by the second respondent herein to the District Collector, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District, on 25.03.2023.
4. As far as, the first bill to a tune of Rs.7,07,706/- (Rupees Seven Lakhs Seven Thousand Seven Hundred and Six only) is concerned, the same is pending before the office of the third respondent herein from July 2022 onwards. The counter filed by the third respondent also reflected that it is under consideration.
5. The third respondent herein by way of communication, dated 18.10.2022 has requested the second respondent to collect certain particulars from the claimant in order to consider the claim of the writ petitioner. However, the said communication has not been forwarded to the claimant to 3/6
enable him to submit the documents. Therefore, the writ petitioner is directed to submit the documents as claimed by the Insurance Company in their communication, dated 18.10.2022 on or before 20.10.2023. On such submission, the second respondent is directed to forward the papers to the third respondent within a week thereafter.
6. As far as the medical bills 2 and 3 raised by the writ petitioner are concerned, the second respondent is directed to consider the said bills and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above said observations, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
