ORDER

The petitioner seeks for transfer of the investigation of the FIR No. 88/2024 dt.15.03.2024 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein to CBCID, Tenkasi or any other independent investigating agency not below the rank of Superintendent of Police.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that at the instance of the petitioner, who is the defacto complainant, an FIR was registered in Crime No.88 of 2024 for the offences under Section 174 of Cr.P.C., on 15.03.2024 for the suspicious death of the petitioner's daughter. However, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, this petition came to be filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submitted that upon completion of the investigation, the final report had been filed as "further action dropped" and that the RCS notice was refused to receive by the petitioner, following which the same was affixed on the petitioner's house. 2/4

4. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the final report, by filing a protest petition in accordance with law.
