PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 08.08.2022 and give police protection for the life of the petitioner for two days i.e 19.08.2022 and 20.08.2022 during the petitioner's stay at Ramnad District for celebration of Krishna Jayanthi Festival conducted by the Sangam Members 1/5

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 08.08.2022 and give police protection for the life of the petitioner for two days i.e 19.08.2022 and 20.08.2022 during the petitioner's stay at Ramnad District for celebration of Krishna Jayanthi Festival conducted by the Sangam Members 2.Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 . By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 08.08.2022 has been received through post and the police has to verify the genuineness of the petitioner's claim and the petitioner may be directed to appear before the respondent police. 2/5

4.In view of the above, the petitioner is hereby directed to appear before the first respondent to ascertain the genuineness of the petitioner's claim and on his appearance before the first respondent, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within tomorrow itself.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
