O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 5.

2. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the sixth respondent is dispensed with.

3. It is seen that the petition mentioned land is the petitioner's patta land. Without acquiring the same in the 2/4

3 W.P.(MD)NO.19151 OF 2022 manner known to law, road was laid thereon by the fourth respondent. Obviously, the petitioner has to be paid compensation therefor. He has given a representation dated 16.04.2021.

4. The first respondent as the head of the administration is directed to enquire into the same and obtain reports from the other authorities and quantify the compensation payable to the writ petitioner and pay the same. This exercise shall be concluded within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I however make it clear that I have not gone into the quantum of compensation. If the petitioner is not satisfied with the quantum of compensation fixed by the first respondent, it is always open to the petitioner to seek enhancement in the manner known to law. This writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
