The present writ petition has been filed seeking mandamus directing to provide water service connection to the petitioner's residential house situated at Door No. 755, Masni Nagar, Thoppukadu, Eripurakarai Village, Pattukottai Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering his application dated 16.05.2023.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents contended that it is not a residential house, but it is a commercial property and therefore, the request of the petitioner cannot be considered under the Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme. 2/4

3. In this regard, the third respondent is directed to pass an order by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 16.05.2023 and communicate the same to the petitioner within eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the said observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
