O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents to give permission to conduct Kabadi Tournament on 03.04.2016 during 11th year Anniversary of 7 Star Kabadi Kuzhu, Kanavoor, Tiruneveli District between 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. This Court is aware of the fact that the Election Commission of India has announced time table for elections to the State Assembly and therefore, the Police will be under much strain. Under such https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ circumstances, it will not be advisable to grant permission for such programmes, if there are going to be any law and order problem.

4. Without going into the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner taking into consideration the antecedents of the petitioner and his capacity to conduct the tournament and all other factors including communal and law and order factors and dispose the same on merits and in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably on or before 03.04.2016. In the event of the authorities deciding to give permission, the same should be given during day time and it should include the conditions imposed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.1474 of 2016 dated 22.01.2016.
