This writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission and accord protection for conducting the Kabadi Tournament scheduled on 02.04.2016 at 8.00 p.m. to 03.04.2016 at 8.00 a.m. held at Kumarapuram, MN Ground, Kanyakumari District.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the representation of the petitioner was considered and the same was rejected on the ground that the Election Commission of India has announced the election to Tamil Nadu State Assembly, on account of which, the police left to provide security for peaceful conduct of election and therefore, the Kabadi match cannot be permitted to be conducted.
