O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus, forbearing the first respondent not to conduct any enquiry for same cause of action until any final order passed in WP (MD) No.20698 of 2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondent, submitted that the enquiry proceedings initiated against the petitioner had been concluded and requested two months' time to pass appropriate orders in respect of the enquiry proceedings. 4.In view of the above submission and in the interest of justice to ensure that the issue is adjudicated fairly and without undue 2/5

delay, this Court is inclined to permit the enquiry proceedings to be conducted and concluded in a time-bound manner. Accordingly, this Court directs the respondent to proceed with the disciplinary enquiry and pass appropriate orders, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity to the petitioner.

5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
