ORDER

The petitioner Minor K.Harshavarthini has filed this writ petition through her mother K.Muthu Sumathi. According to her, she applied for B.A.L.L.B. five year degree course in the law colleges affiliated to the first respondent University. She also opted for the Madurai Law College as her first choice and Theni Law College as her second 2/5

choice. During the first counselling, since she has not secured the required marks, she was allotted to Theni Law College. After completion of the first counselling, 20 students, who were allotted to Maduri Law College, have not joined there and therefore, 20 seats are now vacant at Madurai Law College. Therefore, she seeks a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to re-allot her at Madurai Law College, before commencing of the second counselling.

2. When the writ petition was taken up for hearing on 17.07.2023, this Court, considering the submission made by the petitioner, directed the respondents 1 and 2 to keep one seat vacant in the 4th respondent Madurai Law College.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent submit that now, the petitioner has been accommodated in Madurai Law College. The learned Standing 3/5

Counsel has also produced a copy of the proceedings dated 24.07.2023 to that effect.

4. Recording the same, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. 25.07.2023 ogy NCC : Yes / No.
