Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to restore the electricity service connections in Service Connection No. 06-137-001-1396, given for aquaculture farm situate in S.F.No.156/2, 235/1 and 235/2 situated at Mumbalai Revenue Village, Manamelkudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to grant approval for running aquaculture farm in S.F.No.156/2, 235/1 and 235/2 situated at Mumbalai Revenue Village, Manamelkudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District on the 1/6

ORDER

This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent Nos.1 and 2.

2. It is noticed that the issue has been answered by an order passed by this Court, vide order dated 13.06.2025 in a batch of Writ Petitions in W.P(MD) Nos.13856 to 13864 of 2025 and an operative portion of the impugned order reads as under:

"By this common order, these nine Writ Petitions are disposed of.

2. In these Writ Petitions, the respective petitioner have confirmed that they do not have necessary licence from the Fisheries Department to carry on the Aquaculture farm. However, it is submitted that the respective petitioners have filed respective application with the concerned Authority for licence.

3. Considering the fact that the respective petitioner have made applications for licence, there shall be a positive direction to the second respondent in the respective Writ Petition to consider the applications filed for issuance of necessary licence in carrying on the Aquaculture activity in the concerned lands of the respective petitioner.

4. This exercise shall be completed by the second respondent within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The first respondent shall desist pending such exercise, disconnection of the power connection in pending consideration of the applications filed by the 3/6

respective petitioner before the second respondent. In case power connection has been disconnected in any of the petitioners, the same can be restored forthwith and the respective petitioner shall continue to pay necessary charges.

6. These Writ Petitions are disposed of, with the above observations. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed."

3. Facts of the case are identical to the facts of the case in the above the order passed on 13.06.2025. Considering the same, this Writ Petition stands disposed of in terms of order, dated 13.06.2023 in W.P(MD) Nos.13856 to 13864 of 2025. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
