O R D E R

The Petitioner has filed this writ petition for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 11.03.2016. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. The petitioner has obtained a permit to operate a Minibus in a demarcated, specified route. The permit is being renewed thereafter periodically. The petitioner seeks extension of the route length by one kilometer(1KM) over and above than the allotted route. In that regard, the petitioner has forwarded a representation dated 11.03.2016, to the Regional Transport Officer, Marthandam, Kanyakumari District. Till date, the same has not been considered by the respondent, on account of which, the petitioner is before this Court.

4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent submits that the said representation is not available on the file of the respondent.

5. In the interests of justice, the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent on 04.07.2019 or any other date that the respondent will intimate to the petitioner through issuance of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

notice, on which date the petitioner shall produce a copy of the representation dated 11.03.2016 and be heard thereupon.

6. On hearing the petitioner and perusing documents, if any, that may be produced by him in support of his request, the respondent shall pass appropriate orders on the merits of the representation in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter.
