PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 6 herein to pass appropriate order to allow the petitioner to worship and participate as per the rituals and customary practice in the village festival, yet to be conducted on 19.08.2022 to 20.08.2022 at the Sri Rajakaliamman Kovil situated at Valayapatti, Thiruchuli Taluk, Virudhunagar District and subsequently take action against the 7th respondent for his illegal act of excommunication against the petitioner and his family members, by considering the petitioners representation dated 11.08.2022 For Petitioner : Mr.T.Veerakumar For Respondents : Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar No.1 to 6 Government Advocate (Crl.side)

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the respondents 1 to 6 herein to pass appropriate order to allow the petitioner to worship and participate as per the rituals and customary practice in the village festival, yet to be conducted on 19.08.2022 to 20.08.2022 at the Sri Rajakaliamman Kovil situated at Valayapatti, Thiruchuli Taluk, Virudhunagar District and subsequently take action against the 7th respondent for his illegal act of excommunication against the petitioner 2/6
and his family members, by considering the petitioners representation dated 11.08.2022
2. Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) takes notice for the respondents 1 to 6. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the seventh respondent would submit that the petitioner is claiming poojari right which is objected by the seventh respondent, but he has no objection to worship in the temple.
4. Recording the same, the petitioner is only permitted to worship in the temple with his family members on 19.08.2022 and 20.08.2022 at Sri Rajakaliamman Kovil situated at Valayapatti, Thiruchuli Taluk, Virudhunagar District. Further, if the petitioner is still having any grievance he is at liberty to approach the civil Court and establish his right. Further the petitioner is directed to co-operate with the other village people in conducting the temple festival peacefully. The seventh respondent is directed to consider the subscription given by the petitioner.
