ORDER

The petitioner, a victim in Crime No.46 of 2024, has filed this petition with a grievance that the respondent Police, who registered the case in Cr.No.46 of 2024 has not shown any progress to complete the investigation and therefore, he seeks for a direction to the respondent Police to complete 1/4

the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.46 of 2024.

2. When this petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that the case in Crime No.46 of 2024 was registered for the offence under Section 318(4) of BNS 2023 and Section 66D of the Information Technology (Amendment) Act 2008. In this case, four witnesses have been examined so far and the accused was arrested only on 19.06.2025 and they have also made a request for CDR details of the accused. Therefore, they require six weeks' time to conclude the investigation.

3. Considering the submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that a substantial portion of investigation has already been completed, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent Police to conclude the investigation and file the final report within a period of six weeks.
