Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct cultural function viz., Sri Vinayakar, Sri Mariamman, Sri Chellaiyiamman Kovil on 02.09.2019 and Village Cultural Programme on 02.09.2019 and further direct the respondents to give adequate police protection for the above said programmes by considering my representation dated 22.08.2019.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct cultural function viz., Sri Vinayakar, Sri Mariamman, Sri Chellaiyiamman Kovil on 02.09.2019 and Village Cultural Programme on 02.09.2019 and further direct the respondents to give adequate police protection for the above said programmes by considering my representation dated 22.08.2019.

The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and protection to conduct Cultural Programme on 02.09.2019 in the above said temple, the petitioner made a representation on 22.08.2019 to the respondents and the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.08.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith, by imposing necessary conditions.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
