ORDER
This matter is listed today under the caption for 'extension of time'.
2. It is evident from the records that this Court vide order, dated 28.08.2024, directed the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate/Special Judge, 1/4
Dindigul, to complete the trial process within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of that order. At the request of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dindigul, three months further time was granted by this Court vide order, dated 28.04.2025.
3.The learned Principal District Judge, Dindigul, has submitted a requisition dated 10.10.2025, stating that originally the case was transferred to the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dindigul from the Special Court for trial of Prevention of Corruption Act cases, Madurai and subsequently, the case was transferred to the file of the Principal District Judge, Dindigul on 03.09.2025; that out of 139 witnesses, 33 witnesses had been examined, 10 witnesses were reported dead and 23 witnesses were dispensed by the prosecution side and hence, 6 remaining witnesses, who are investigation officers are to be examined and seeks six months for disposal of the case.
4.Considering the reasons assigned and taking note of the fact that six witnesses are to be examined, this Court is inclined to grant three months further time to comply with the directions of this Court. 2/4

Accordingly, the learned Principal District Judge, Dindigul, is hereby directed to dispose of the case in Spl.C.C.No.35 of 2014, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 29.10.2025 das To 1.The Principal District Judge, Dindigul, 2.The Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dindigul.
