ORDER

The petitioners preferred an appeal before the respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul, in the month of March 2022. Since the said appeal is still pending without any progress, they have filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by them.

2. Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent, submits that the appeal preferred by the petitioners was numbered only on 10.02.2023.

3. Though the petitioners claim that they have preferred the appeal in the month of March 2022, they did not take any steps for numbering the appeal within a reasonable time. The appeal itself has been numbered only in the month of February 2023. 2/4

4. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioners, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioners are also expected to co-operate with the respondent for early disposal of the appeal. No costs. 18.07.2023 ogy NCC : Yes / No.
