ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents herein to peruse the petitioner's representations dated 10.10.2013, 23.12.2013, 06.06.2015, 08.06.2015 and 17.06.2015 along with the documents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for the punja land property at Madurai Division of Madurai South Taluk situated at No.34, Veerrathanoor village in Patta No.450 comprising S.No.239/A1 (Now 239/1A1) and 239/1C to an extent of 70 cents. 2.According to the petitioner, he claims to be an auction purchaser of the property. He filed an application before the first respondent/Tahsildar, Madurai South Taluk for transfer of patta in his name. Since no action has been taken, he also https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

approached the second respondent/ District Collector, Madurai, who in turn, directed the first respondent to conduct enquiry regarding the grant of patta. Despite of the same, no order has been passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.Heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the documents carefully. 4.Since the application of the petitioner is pending from 2013 onwards, the first respondent/Tahsildar, Madurai South Taluk, is directed to conduct an enquiry, as per the direction issued by the second respondent/District Collector, Madurai District, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as other rival claimants, if any and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with Law, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected WMP is closed Sd/- Assistant Registrar (Crl.side) /True copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar To 1.The Tahsildar, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai-20.
