(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The writ on hand has been instituted to direct the respondents to conduct interview orally and practically for well trained legal heirs of the registered Siddha Physicians under the Tamil Nadu Medical Council and to recognize them as registered medical practitioners through an appropriate selection process, based on the petitioner's representation dated 30.09.2020. 2.The relief as such sought for in the present Writ Petition is misconceived and falls beyond the realm of the powers of the judicial 2/5
review. Now the medical practitioners is governed under the provisions of the Act and the Medical Council of India has issued regulations in this regard. Therefore, registration must be strictly done in accordance with the provisions of the statutes, rules and regulations issued by the Medical Council. This Court cannot issue any direction to recognize the legal heirs of the registered Siddha Physicians in the Tamil Nadu Medical Council. Accordingly, the relief as such sought for deserves no merit consideration. 3.In view of the above, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
