ORDER
This Petition is filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent, the additional Chief Secretary to Government, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department, Chennai to dispose of the disciplinary action initiated in R.C.No.14421-L2/2019-3 dated 11.06.2019 of the Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Chennai, without further loss of time, within a specified time fixed by this Court.
2. According to the petitioner, the disciplinary action was initiated against the petitioner by the respondents in the year 2019 and charges have been framed and enquiry officer was appointed on 30.01.2020 and 17.12.2020. However, no enquiry was conducted and disciplinary action was kept pending. Due to the pendency of disciplinary action, the petitioner was not able to get the retirement benefits. Therefore, the petitioner has sought for the relief directing the respondents to dispose of the disciplinary action initiated against him within the time stipulated by this Court.

3. The learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents seeks four months time to conclude the disciplinary proceedings and pass orders.
4. In view of the above said submission made by the learned counsel for the parties concerned, without expressing any opinion on merits, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the disciplinary proceedings pending against the petitioner in R.C.No.14421-L2/2019-3 dated 11.06.2019 as expeditiously as possible on merits and in accordance with law within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
