This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to remove the cremation ground from the petitioners' patta land situated at Puliyuran Village, Aruppukottai Panchayat Union, Virudhunagar District, comprised in Survey No. 241/12, and to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.03.2026.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 2/6

3. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is going to be passed, notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had made a representation dated 05.03.2026 seeking action for the removal of the cremation ground from the petitioner's patta land. However, as the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition before this Court.

5. The learned counsel further submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.03.2026 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.03.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in 3/6

accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
