ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner is a non governmental organization. It had obtained a project from the Central Government. For implementing the project, the petitioner had to secure Government land on lease. The petitioner moved the fourth respondent. The fourth respondent by the impugned memorandum rejected the petitioner's request. The same is under challenge in this writ petition. 3.The petitioner's counsel pointed out that for implementing the project in question, they are in need of the government land. He would also point out that the reasons set out in the impugned order are not correct.

4. Be that as it may, I am of the view that the petitioner has no legal right to demand that the respondents must hand over the land in question on lease. Since the petitioner has no legal right inhering in them, Writ of Mandamus will obviously not lie. It is for the petitioner to pursue his representation with the superior authorities.

5.In this view of the matter, the Writ Petition is dismissed. I make it clear that the dismissal of this writ petition will not come in the way of the petitioner from approaching the authorities once again for obtaining lease of the land. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
