This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to conduct preliminary enquiry on the petitioner's complaint dated 13.06.2023.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner was abused and assaulted by his neighbors, thereby, he has taken treatment from 13.06.2023 to 18.06.2023 and that the respondents police have recorded the statement of the petitioner, but no case has been registered against the offender. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has given a representation on 23.06.2023 and even then, no action was initiated. 2/5

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that basing on the directions given by this Court on 19.07.2023, the respondent police have registered the case in Crime No.125 of 2023 for the offence under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(i) IPC r/w 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(va) of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Amended Act, 2015. 4.Since the very purpose, for which this petition is filed, has already been fulfilled, the cause does not survive.
