PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to complete the investigation on the petitioner's complaint, dated 24.07.2022 in C.S.R.No.606 of 2022 within a stipulated period framed by this Court.

The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition, seeking a direction to direct the second respondent to complete the investigation on the petitioner's complaint, dated 24.07.2022 in C.S.R.No.606 of 2022. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner gave a complaint against the Municipality Commissioner, Tiruchendur, stating that the said Commissioner has not repaied the amount spent by the petitioner on the work done by him as entrusted by the Municipality Commissioner. The petitioner has to be paid with a sum of Rs.1,60,615/- (Rupees One lakh Sixty Thousand Six Hundred and Fifteen only). Since the Municipality Officer refused to pay the amount, the petitioner gave a complaint.
On enquiry, the Municipality Commissioner, Tiruchendur gave a statement that if the petitioner gives sufficient vouchers for the work done by him, the Commissioner is ready to repay the amount spent by the petitioner, after inspecting the work done by the petitioner. Therefore, the respondent police closed the said complaint.

3.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Criminal Original Petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to produce the vouchers for spending the amount for the work done by him to the Municipality Commissioner. On receipt of the same, the said Commissioner has to inspect the work done by the petitioner and repay the amount to him.
