PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to proceed with the petitioner's complaint, dated 27.05.2022 in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible within the time stipulated as prescribed by this Court.

ORDER

The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition, seeking a direction to direct the respondents to proceed with the petitioner's complaint, dated 27.05.2022 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that there is a dispute between the petitioner and the members of the Arulmigu Dhandayudhapani Thirukoil with regard to property situated at Survey No.1101/1. He further submits that the petitioner's complaint is received by the respondent police and it is pending for enquiry.

3.Recording the same, the second respondent police is directed to conduct an enquiry upon the petitioner's complaint, dated 27.05.2022, complete the enquiry and take suitable action, on merits, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the complaint and information furnished by the petitioner are found to be false, the respondent police is at liberty to register the case against the petitioner and prosecute under Section 182 of IPC. 2/4

4.In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
