ORDER

The petitioners, who are A4 & A5 in Cr.No.8 of 2024 on the file of the second respondent Police, have filed this petition seeking a direction to complete the investigation in the said case, within a time frame. 2.It appears that the case in Cr.No.8 of 2024 has been registered on the complaint of the third respondent on 07.01.2024 for the offence under Section 379 IPC. The case of the defacto complainant is that the accused have stolen away 300 pipes from his project site. 3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submits that the investigation has almost completed and they have examined 8 witnesses and they have also recovered 204 pipes, out of 300 pipes. Further, he submits that remaining 96 pipes are yet to be recovered and the pipes are with A8, who is a resident of Kerala and therefore, the respondent Police seeks four more weeks to recover the remaining stolen pipes.

4.Strangely, accused have filed this petition seeking a direction to the investigating agency to complete the investigation within a stipulated time. It is reported that out of 300 pipes, 204 pipes were recovered. The respondent Police shall take initiative steps to recover the remaining stolen articles, within a reasonable time. Since the case has been registered on 07.01.2024, the respondent Police is expected to complete the investigation and file final report, within a reasonable time.
