Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL UNDER SEC 482 of BNSS PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.272 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), r/w Section 20B(ii)(c) and Section 25 of Narcotic Drugs Psychotropic Substance Act, in Crime No.272 of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 105 Kg of Ganja. Hence, the complaint. 1/3

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that this is the second anticipatory bail petition. Earlier petition filed by the petitioner in Crl.OP(MD)No.3407 of 2024 was dismissed by this Court on 04.03.2024. Hence, he prays for anticipatory bail.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that this is the second anticipatory bail petition. Earlier petition filed by the petitioner was dismissed by this Court on the ground that the petitioner is having previous antecedents. Hence, he vehemently, opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5.Considering the total contraband involved in the present case is 105 Kg and also considering the fact that earlier anticipatory bail application being dismissed, I am neither inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner nor inclined to adjourn 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. sd/- 05/08/2024 / TRUE COPY / /08/2024 Sub-Assistant Registrar (C.S.
