ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to approve the appointment of one S.Vinothkumar as Watchman in T.S.M. High School, Varaganeri, Tiruchirappalli w.e.f. 03.12.2018 with salary and all other monetary benefits by considering the reminder proposal, dated 21.06.2024 submitted by the writ petitioner school.

2. Heard Mr.A.L.Kannan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Siddharthan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner-School has appointed one S.Vinothkumar as Watchman. The proposal sent to the respondents on 04.12.2018 for approving his appointment is still pending. Thereafter, the petitioner school sent reminders on 04.02.2019, 05.04.2019 and 21.06.2024. Since the said representations were not considered by the respondents so far, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition. 5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the proposal dated 21.06.2024 would be considered by the respondents within a time frame fixed by this Court.

6. In the light of the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of and the respondents herein are directed to consider the reminder proposal of the petitioner dated 21.06.2024 on its own merits 3/6

and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the claim of the petitioner and it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits. No costs.
