The prayer in the Writ Petition is to forbear the respondents, their men and agents from recovering any amount from the petitioner out of the retirement benefits and consequently, direct the respondents to repay the recovered amount of Rs.35,640/-.

2. Today, when the Writ Petition was taken up for consideration, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that no recovery was made, but, only a portion of the amount was withheld.

3. In view of the above, since no recovery was made, nothing survives for adjudication in the present Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. However, with regard to the withheld amount, it is left open to the petitioner to approach the authorities concerned seeking appropriate relief. No costs.
