For R1 & R2 : Mr.SS.Madhavan Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This petition is filed seeking for a direction to transfer the investigation of the petitioner's complaint dated 10.07.2023 from the file of the respondent No.2 police to some other agencies.
2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is an advocate and an active member of a political party. The respondent No.3, who belongs to the same political party, has been posting some messages against the petitioner in various social media and in spite of the complaint given on 10.07.2023, the police have not been taking any action. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on the other hand submits that the petitioner has filed a complaint directly before the cyber crime and the cyber crime police have advised the petitioner to file a fresh complaint before the jurisdictional police station. Accordingly, the petitioner stated to have filed a fresh complaint on 19.07.2023 and the police have registered the same as CSR.No.1151 of 2023 and the enquiry is under way. It is submitted further that the police are 2/4
actively enquiring the contents of the petition filed by the petitioner and shall dispose of the petition as quickly as possible. The same is recorded. 4.Considering the circumstances, the respondent police are directed to consider and dispose of the complaint given by the petitioner dated 19.07.2023 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Petition is disposed of.
