Seeking quashment of the proceedings in Crime No.57 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, the petitioner has filed this Criminal Original Petition.
2.Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), who takes notice for the first respondent submits that the investigation in Crime No.57 of 2025 has already been completed and final report has also been filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Devakottai on 20.05.2025, through e-filing.
3.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the final report, if so advised, in the manner known to law. Mere filing of final report is not sufficient and it is the responsibility of the respondent police to ensure that the final report is taken on file by the concerned Court within a period of two weeks. It is also the responsibility of the concerned 2/4
Courts to take the final reports on file, if it is filed in order, within a period of two weeks. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
