Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the 2nd respondent's impugned order in Na.Ka.No.26/Mike/Thu.Kaa.Ka/Mugam/Rajapalayam/2016 dated 31.03.2016 and quash the same as illegal and further directing the respondents to give police protection to conduct the temple festival along with the cultural programmes of "Chitrai Venkudai thiruvila"at Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar District on 14.04.2016 to 16.04.2016.

This writ petition has been filed, challenging the impugned order of the 2nd respondent dated 31.03.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents brought to the notice of this Court that a peace committee meeting was held by the District Administration comprising of Election Authorities, Revenue Authorities and police officials along with all the concerned parties and the District Administration has permitted the celebration to go on as per the proceedings dated 06.04.2016.

4. This Court had granted permission to the petitioner to have the Adal Padal programme and other cultural programme. If the petitioner wants to stage such performance, it is open to him to make request to the concerned authorities and on such event, the same shall be considered on merits, taking into consideration the law and problem and other aspects, prevailing in that area, as expeditiously as possible. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
