ORDER

This petition is filed to direct the respondent police to file final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Madurai in respect of the FIR in Crime No.690 of 2016 dated 18.09.2016 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.690 of 2016, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 406, 420 and 506(i) IPC on the file of the second respondent police. Now, the grievance of the petitioner is that even after lapse of 5 years, no progress has been made in the investigation.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the final report has been made ready on 20.01.2017. But, however it has not been presented before the concerned Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.15426 of 2021 4.Considering the year of the crime, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to file final report before the concerned Court immediately. After filing of the final report, the concerned Magistrate shall process the same and compliance report must be submitted to the Registry of this Court. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
