ORDER

Mr.S.Sadeshkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of his appeal, dated 04.08.2015, within a stipulated time.

4. The case of the petitioner is that he is working as Seed Certification Officer, Srivilliputhur, Virudhunagar District. The petitioner was recruited through TNPSC in the year 2007-2008 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and he joined as Agricultural Officer, Soil Testing Laboratory, Virudhunagar. The petitioner made a representation for re-fixing his scale of pay as per G.O.Ms.No.340 Finance(Pay Cell) Department, dated 26.08.2010 on par with his junior Tmt.A.Banumathi, then Agricultural Officer, Farmers Training Centre, Virudhunagar and for payment of arrears from 01.08.2010. But the same was rejected. Against which the petitioner preferred an appeal on 04.08.2015 before the Principal Secretary to Government, Agriculture Department, Chennai. The same is said to be still pending. Hence the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the above stated relief.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer made in this Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 04.08.2015 as per G.O.Ms.No.340 Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 26.08.2010 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
