PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to refix the pay scale with effect from 01.04.2015 and consequently to pay all increments and arrears with interest @ 18% per annum within a stipulated time, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 03.09.2020 and 14.12.2020.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondent to refix the scale of pay of the petitioner with effect from 01.04.2015 and to pay all increments and arrears payable to him with interest at the rate of 18% per annum to the petitioner.

2.By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.It is the contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that though the petitioner has given the representations, dated 03.09.2020 and 14.12.2020 to the respondents with regard to the relief sought for in this writ petition, no action has been taken so far. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court seeking appropriate orders.

4.In reply, Mr.Mahaboob Athif, learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representations, dated 03.09.2020 and 14.12.2020, will be disposed of on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD) No.19417 of 2020 5.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the respondent, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representations, dated 03.09.2020 and 14.12.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order;

6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
