Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the fifth respondent to carry out the Assignment Order in the revenue records maintained by the fifth respondent to the property of the petitioner in S.No.409/7 to an extent of 0.48.0 Ares of land in Ammankurichi Village, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the fifth respondent to effect mutation of revenue records based on the assignment order in favour of the petitioner pertains to the property situated in S.No.409/7 to an extent of 0.48.0 Ares of land in Ammankurichi Village, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.D.Senthil, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Gangatharan, learned Government Advocate, whoe takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. It is the case of the petitioner that subject property was assigned in favour of the petitioner by the Tahsildar, Thirumayam, under Revenue Standing Order -15, vide order, dated 14.09.2007. Later, the petitioner submitted a representation before the respondents on 02.06.2025, seeking mutation of revenue records in his favour. The same has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this Court. 5.The learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with the law.

6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the fifth respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.06.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of cop of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
