For Respondent : Mrs.M.Anantha Devi, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. PRAYER :- For an Anticipatory Bail in Crime No. 649 of 2020 on the file of the Respondent police.
ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as A2, apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent for the alleged offence punishable under Section 392 of IPC, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that on 01.06.2020, an unknown accused, involved in the crime chain snatching in highway robbery for an amount worth Rs.89,500/-.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he is no way connected with the alleged occurrence and hence, sought for anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the State would submit that the petitioner along with the other accused have robbed three sovereigns of gold chain and two cell phones and cash amount for a sum of Rs.4,000/- from the defacto complainant and hence, prayed for dismissal of the petition.
5. Considering the fact and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the petitioner has been impleaded on the confession of the other accused. The gold chain only recovered from the first accused so far. Therefore, the petitioner is not entitled for anticipatory bail.
