PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to take action on the petitioner representation dated 28.7.2022 and conduct enquiry and act in accordance with law. This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking direction to the 2nd respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 28.7.2022 and conduct enquiry and act in accordance with law. 1/4

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondents submitted that, with regard to the death of the petitioner's son, namely; Sathish Kumar, a case has been registered by the Railway Police, Dindigul, in Crime No.38 of 2022 on 14.07.2022, for an offence under Section 174 of Cr.P.C. and now they are conducting investigation. Based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the Railway Police has registered the case. He further submitted that, since the death was occurred and the body was found in railway track near Kozhinchipatti the respondent police has no jurisdiction to investigate the case. 3.Recording the same, the petitioner is directed to appear before the Railway police and co-operate with investigation in Crime No.38 of 2022 on the file of the Railway Police.
