O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed by a Conductor of the respondents Corporation, who retired from service on 30.04.2019. The service benefits were released only on 22.01.2021. Hence, he has sent representations to the respondents on 10.05.2021 and 23.07.2024, seeking interest for the belated disbursement of his terminal benefits. The said representations were not considered. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. Considering the above said facts, the respondents are directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% p.a., from the due date till the date of payment within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
