ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2026 for re-determination of compensation in respect of the petitioner's property comprised in Survey No.195/5A, situated at Marthandam, Kanniyakumari District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner claims right over the property comprised in Survey No.195/5A. The petitioner's property was acquired by the official respondents for the purpose of laying a railway track from Munnar to Trivandrum. Aggrieved by the compensation amount determined by the acquisition authority, the petitioner 2/5

submitted a representation to the District Collector, who is the appellate authority, seeking re-determination of the compensation.

3. In view of the above, the first respondent / District Collector is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2026, after issuing notice to the petitioner and thereafter pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
