...2nd Respondent/Defacto Complainant Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to call for the records in pursuance to the case in C.C.No.206 of 2018 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.III, Nagercoil now before the Additional Mahila Court, Nagercoil, in Crime No.11 of 2012 on the file of the 1st respondent herein and to quash the same as illegal.

O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.206 of 2018 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.III, Nagercoil.

2.It is a matrimonial complaint. The defacto complainant/ P.N.Geetha Godwin is present before this Court in person. She has been duly identified by Mr.Pooranachandran (Enrolment No.964 of 2011). A joint memo of compromise dated 30.09.2021 has been filed. The same is taken on record. The defacto complainant does not want to pursue the complaint. When the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement and the deafcto complainant does not want to pursue the complaint, no purpose will be served in keeping the impugned prosecution alive.
