PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the petitioner's name from the Rowdy List, maintain by the third respondent in H.S.No.266 of 2004 by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 20.04.2022 within the time limit, that may be stipulated by this Court.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the petitioner's name from the Rowdy List, maintain by the third respondent in H.S.No.266 of 2004 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2022 within the time limit, that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner is having nine previous cases and objected for removing his name from the Rowdy List.

3. In view of the above, the first respondent/ the Commissioner of Police, is hereby directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2022 and to take suitable action, on merits in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
